A few weeks ago, a local community organisation (who wishes to remain anonymous) received a $2000 donation from an overseas donor. This organisation knows about the works being done at the Winsome Hotel in Lismore to support disadvantaged people. The organisation also wants to support local businesses.
They went to clothing shops in Lismore and purchased $2000 worth of high quality clothes. Then they attached a hand sewn patch containing an uplifting message on each of the garments.
Volunteers at the Winsome have been giving the clothes to rough sleepers and patrons who come into the Winsome Café for meals and social connection.
